JUDY YIN-CHI LEE
Co-Chair
Judy Yin-Chi Lee, native of Taiwan, is an active and diverse musician in the New York Metropolitan area. As a commercial player, Ms. Lee has performed and recorded with numerous Broadway shows, Ray Charles, Harry Connick Jr., Hugh Jackman, CBS news, NFL, Lang Lang, movies and commercial jingles, and many more. As a freelance classical musician, Ms. Lee performs regularly with orchestras and has traveled to many countries in her career. Currently, she is the solo horn in the hit Broadway musical “ Moulin Rouge!”. Ms. Lee is Chief Program Officer of Meastra Music. "Maestra Music provides support and advocacy for women and non-binary musicians in the music theater industry." Ms. Lee resides in Metuchen, NJ with her husband and two boys.

GRACE SHACKNEY
Co-Chair
Grace retired as Aide to the Chairman of The Citizens Campaign, a statewide non-profit organization that promotes participation in all levels of government. Previously she was Director of Artistic Administration at the McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ. In the late 1960’s, she was a founding member of Theatre Six, a professional theater company in Metuchen, NJ. In addition to her theater work, Grace served on the boards of several local chapters of the League of Women Voters in Rockland County, NY, Bucks County, PA, and in Metuchen, NJ. She was a founding member of the Metuchen Downtown Alliance. Grace was previously the Chair of the Metuchen Arts Council and currently serves as its secretary. She also serves on the Board of The Crossroads Theatre Company in New Brunswick. Grace received her B.A. degree in Theater Administration from Rutgers University. -
MARK HARRIS
VIce President
Mark Harris is an exhibiting photographer and lover of the arts. He has been photographing since he was a teenager and was mostly self-taught until fairly recently. He has been studying at many schools and workshop locations, traveling for some. He has exhibited in most of the gallery spaces in Metuchen and elsewhere through juried shows. Mark has also been honored with several awards for his work

MEG LOFTUS
Secretary
Meg joins the council after moving from NYC to Metuchen in 2020. She holds a degree in Performance from the University of Florida and has performed both domestically and on International tours. Meg has a deep love for visual arts and creative writing and is very excited to help with the incredible work being done by the Metuchen Arts Council.

JOHN SHARP
John has been a Metuchen resident since 1958 and has served on the Metuchen Arts Council since 2012. Currently he is the Recording Secretary for the Friends of Plays-of-the-Park and has been a long time board member with this organization for 40 years. John is a dedicated parishioner and founding board member of The Arts at St. Luke’s at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He is an active member of Nails-in-the-Wall Art gallery – a Ministry of St. Luke’s.

DEB KMETZ
Deb is a freelance photographer and columnist for The Metuchen Mirror newspaper, as well as a real estate photographer and fine art photographer. Deb is the committee chairperson for Nails in the Wall Gallery, a Ministry of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen, which hosts two to three juried exhibits per year. She founded St. Veronica’s Guild Photography Club, also a ministry of St. Luke’s, and remains active in the group. She has exhibited in many locations, and was half of a 2-person exhibit in Transformations Gallery, Metuchen. Through the Foundation for Photo/Art in Hospitals, her work cheers patients and families in the halls of Regional Hospital of Thies, Senegal.

TERRY KOHL
Terry has been a Metuchen Realtor since 1994. She was also the former member and President of the Metuchen School Board and also served as a Former Director of the NJ School Board Association and Group Leader for new board members. Terry is currently a member of the St. Francis Choir and Festival Choir, and member and current president of Rise Up Community Chorus. She also serves as an affiliate for the Metuchen Parade Committee.

NUNZIO MOUDATSOS
Nunzio Moudatsos is a multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer who has lived in Metuchen since 2014. As a musician, he has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe, and has worked on countless projects both as a performer and engineer. Nunzio also has many years of experience in curating live music events, managing and mentoring artists, lighting design, and building/repairing musical instruments and gear. Nunzio looks forward to working with the Arts Council to help support artists in our community, further arts education, and promote inclusive, creative, and enriching programs in Metuchen.

CAROLYN HAMMING
Carolyn is a long time resident of Metuchen. She has been involved with the Metuchen Arts Council since 1988, serving in the past as co-chair of the once annual craft show and chair of Jazz Fest. Her experience as a travel agent made her a natural to plan the many day trips offered by the Arts Council and she is eagerly looking forward to getting on the road again! Carolyn is a member of the Metuchen Garden Club and past president and scholarship chair of the Polish University Club of New Jersey.

LUCIANA MALLOZZI
Luciana is an artist and designer who has lived with her family in Metuchen for over 10 years. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she has worked in a variety of mediums, from painting to graphic design and currently focuses on custom apparel and costume making.

HELEN GEARY
Helen Geary joins Metuchen Arts Council with over 20 years of combined experience teaching music and working in higher education. Part of the team at Rutgers Global, she hopes to build bridges between Mason Gross School of the Arts and Metuchen, and she is eager to contribute her time and experience toward helping further the mission of the Metuchen Arts Council. Helen holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in piano performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as well as an artist's diploma from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Lenore Boyarin
Lenore Boyarin joins the Council as a partner in the law firm Sussan Greenwald & Wesler, where her practice area is serving the needs of special needs school-aged children. Her volunteer history has included being an officer and chair of Metuchen-Edison-Colonia Hadassah Kesher, and Board Member and President of Neve Shalom in Metuchen. She is a Committee Member of the Metuchen Democrats and has supported a variety of individual candidates’ campaigns over the years. Although no formal education in the arts, she has been a devoted patron of them, and a “wool artist” since the age of 8. Through her Hadassah chapter, Knit the Rainbow, and Red Scarves for youth leaving foster care, Lenore cannot keep track of how many people wear her handmade pieces. She is always willing to teach knitting and needlepoint to others.

Shea Zephir
Shea Zéphir is a multifaceted performing artist, creative producer, and entrepreneur new to Metuchen but a native of Harlem, NYC. Her performing arts background originates at the Harlem School of the Arts where she studied the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and West African dances for 17 years. Known for her copious talents and savvy in merging her performance background and content creation acumen she is passionate about empowering fellow artists and creative entrepreneurs to unveil their authentic personal stories into purposeful artistic expressions that shift the cultural landscape. Throughout her career, Shea has balanced her skillset of C-suite operational management between the corporate world and the arts/entertainment industry after graduating from the Art Institute of Philadelphia with her BS in Fashion & Marketing. Being a multifaceted artist and producer has not only afforded her the opportunity to work with various entrepreneurial trailblazers in the entertainment industries of fashion, art, and culture but also inspired her to launch her own company ART LIVING, a virtual museum & content platform offering a new digital multimedia catalog championing Black artists of the past, present, and future.
Shea looks forward to partnering with the Arts Council to highlight and celebrate extraordinary artists of the community that cultivate our creative beings through enriching events, education, and diverse programming that serves others.

Chuck Lopez
Chuck Lopez has been a New Jersey state certified music teacher since 2002 and is currently the Band Director at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Edison NJ. Chuck is a graduate of Montclair State University where he studied saxophone. He was the New Jersey Teacher of the Year at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Edison in 2006. Chuck was also nominated for a Grammy Award in Music Education in 2016.
Chuck performs regularly with The Commuters, a local Metuchen rock and roll cover band. He also maintains a private saxophone studio based out of his home in Metuchen, NJ where he lives with his wife Lauren and children Elizabeth and Jonah. In addition to his music background, Chuck is also a founding member of the Janice Lopez Ovarian Cancer Foundation and has also been an Emergency Medical Technician since 1994
