Our Mission.
The Metuchen Arts Council’s Mission is to enhance the life of our citizenry by promoting culturally enriching programs and events that foster an appreciation for the arts as a source of enjoyment, cultural understanding, education, and uplift.

This is accomplished through sponsoring programs in all arts disciplines; supporting local artists and arts organizations through networking, grants, and sponsorships; creating a diverse and welcoming community for all artists and audiences; and promoting arts education advocacy for all ages.  

Since it began in 1968, the Council has coordinated and delivered music festivals, orchestra concerts, dance programs, art festivals, community art projects, and art gallery exhibitions that service residents of all ages, not only in Metuchen, but in surrounding communities.

The Metuchen Arts Council encourages creative ideas from all community partners for collaborations on art and cultural programs and events.
